Getting Sand In My Shoes To Send A Message

UNBEKNOWNST to Bill I wrote a message in the sand at Crescent Beach on behalf of those who wish him well. After all, what new gadget can a wife get her husband on his birthday after over thirty years? I plan to surprise him later with this picture I posted. Even though it didn't cost a penny or come gift-wrapped, I hope he likes it and sees that my heart is in the right place.

  2. I’m so excited to imagine Bill’s reaction when he sees the photo of love message in the sand. He surely will like it, penelope. Intangible things cause more profound effect. Happy birthday to Bill from me, too.

  4. If he doesn't like it, he hasn't got a heart, and I suspect you haven't spent 30 years with a heartless #$%! :D

  7. I love it!! And I'm certain he will, too!! Paul is right, he would be heartless not to love it and I'm pretty certain you wouldn't still be around to celebrate with him if he was heartless! Hope you BOTH have a wonderful day!

  12. Great Penelope (Can I borrow the picture? My husband is a Bill too -- and also is pretty much impossible to buy for ;>).

I'm kidding about borrowing the pic of course, but serious in saying that you had a wonderful idea and I know "your" Bill will be delighted.!

  13. My blogger friends with a Bill in their lives (there are a few) are welcome to borrow the photo as needed. I have to say my Bill was pleasantly surprised and I suspect quite pleased that I didn’t spend a dime on something he didn’t need or would rather have picked out for himself. Hmmm … Christmas is around the corner. If flakes should fall … maybe I could write him another message in the snow or maybe carve out a few words on a pumpkin this Halloween. The possibilities are endless. :))
