Million Dollar Quartet

THE UNIVERSE conspired in its mysterious way to bring together four musical icons before they reached the height of their stardom. The old photograph (above) shown during the Million Dollar Quartet musical at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage in Vancouver yesterday proved to me that Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley really did have a jamming session at Sun Studios in 1956. Sun Studios is now a heritage landmark and museum for all things Rock and Roll. Visit it HERE and listen to the fantastic sounds. I couldn't take pictures of the energetic and talented current performers who sang the old million-dollar songs but I got a shot of the stage for Our World and Signs, Signs.

  3. Looks like you had a great time at the Million Dollar Quartet musical, penelope. I know only Elvis Presley and my time is later than their best time but I really understand rocking yourself to the music back then would bring you back to good old days.

I’m interested in elephant image of lotus. You wrote the leafy pad of lotus reminds you of elephant ear, while on ceremonial occasion, Japanese sake in the cup-like lotus leaf is drunk through the long stem of a leaf, which is called zo-bi-hai (literally, elephant-nose-cup of sake). Wish you and your family a lovely summer.

  7. I would love to see that show. Couldn't listen to the original at the link you provided because my IPAD doesn't support it (we are camping and that's all I have right now) ...I will be back when we get home! Because, gosh, they really don't make music like that anymore, do they :)))
